Module 2: Gender differences in Cardiology

Gender differences play a major role in the manifestation and outcomes of cardiovascular disease. We focus on traditional and new risk factors (RF), heart failure (HF) diseases, and its most frequent causes such as hypertension and cardiomyopathies, chronic ischemic heart disease and acute coronary syndrome (ACS)/ myocardial infarction (MI). Special issues concern cardiovascular diseases during pregnancy and arrhythmias.
